Course Description:
The Recce Carbine Course is a (2) day performance-based firearms training with an emphasis on the fundamentals of practical shooting: Shoot/Move/Communicate. Students will be challenged with various courses of fire, requiring fire & maneuver, observation skills, situational awareness, and recorded competitions to hold shooters accountable (ranging from 10-200 meters).

Gun fighting tenets
Fire & Maneuver techniques
Identifying Points of Domination
Utilization of cover and concealment
Ballistics
Target discrimination
Observation of engagement feedback
Methods of target engagement (10 to 200 meters)
Establishing a hasty range card
Course Schedule & Location:
The course will begin Saturday at 8:30am at the Range 21:31 Sportsman Club with a short classroom session prior to getting out on the range. Each day will consist of a morning session, a break for lunch, and an afternoon session.
Each day we will meet at 8:30 A.M. prior to departing to the various range locations throughout the property. It is important to arrive on time and leave with the group, since courses of fire will change daily and utilize different parts of the ranch.

Course Requirements:
All students MUST possess a mastery in safe weapons manipulation and the clearing of malfunctions with the AR platform. (This is not a “beginner course”).
Student’s rifle must possess a red dot or LPVO (student must know how to employ their own optic!).
Rifle setup requirements:
Barrel length: Student preference on barrel length for the course: 11.5”-20”
16” barreled rifle is optimal for this course
Caliber(s)/ Ammo Requirements:
Primarily .223/5.56 are the authorized calibers for this course. (300BO 6ARC, are accepted. NO! .308 ammo)
500 rounds of quality ammo are required for the Recce course (i.e. Frontier 55gr FMJ or 62gr FMJ).
Additional requirements:
Two-point sling (i.e. Vickers tactical sling)
(5) 30 round AR magazines (at a minimum)
Flash Hider/brake (suppressors allowed)
Gear List:
Day Pack (small pack to carrier snacks, water, extra mags, rear bag, etc.)
Gloves
Eye protection
Hearing protection (electric is preferred)
Magazine pouch on your belt or you can use your back pants pocket (please no tier one tactical vest!)
Trail or running shoes.
Tool (i.e., Leatherman)
Shooting mat
Bring snacks and recovery drinks for training breaks and lunch.
Rear bag
Rain gear (Top/Bottom) We’re going to train rain or shine!!!
